We usually enjoy Fighting Games where the heroes are us and the wicked villains are the virtual opponent we wanted to beat online. The craving for excitement can never be satisfied in us even as we aged. It is already innate on us to beat the bad ones. So it is not actually surprising to see older people playing and enjoying games even online.

Some would enjoy Car Games, it’s the regular need for adrenaline rush that lures us to enjoy watching car games, even if in reality it means racing for your own life. But if you are not the daring type of person who would brave riding and driving his own racing car up to the finish line, sadden no more because online car games can beat the adrenaline rush you need right in the safety of your computer table.

As most consumers have now realised financial providers in all sectors, such as mortgages, loans, and credit cards, are all making cutbacks and tightening their lending criteria as a result of the global credit crunch coupled with lenders’ fears over bad debt levels. Those with poor credit may experience real difficulties in getting credit these days, with many either having to pay extortionate rates of interest and other finding it impossible to get the finance that they need.

However, over the last couple of months speculation and concern have arisen over whether credit card companies are cancelling the cards of the right people. Earlier this year Internet financial giant Egg withdrew the credit card facilities of 161,000 customers. The lender said that the reason behind the withdrawal of facilities was that the customers were high credit risks. However, it later emerged that many of those affected were good payers who had never missed a repayment.

This resulted in much speculation over whether credit card companies are cancelling credit cards for the right reasons. According to some industry officials many credit card companies may be changing the terms of or withdrawing credit facilities of those that are good payers, simply because they do not make enough profit from the various fees, charges, and interest payments applied to credit card accounts.

The chairman of the Treasury Select Committee, John McFall, recently stated: “Are we witnessing a situation where credit card companies are taking cards away from perfectly safe customers who pay their bill in full every month on the same date for years - and giving it to customers who are riskier? And if they are doing so, then their methods have to be called into question.”

Goin’ Bulilit of ABS-CBN is a comedy show where children are the main cast, well… aside from Dagul. It is directed by Bobot Mortiz and is the children version of the defunct long running comedy show in the Philippines- the Goin’ Bananas, where he starred himself along with Christopher De Leon, Johnny Delgado and the late Jay Ilagan.

It debuted last January 30, 2005 and I am one of the people who is happy to say that it is still leading the Sunday primetime rating. (Huh! Atleast, one show of ABS-CBN is allowed to lead in the “ever”-reliable rating)

The gag show is the home of the most talented child stars of this generation like Sharlene San Pedro, Aaron Junatas and Nash Aguas. It also stars Dagul, the very funny pint-size comedian. Graduation Rite is one of the highlights of the show, wherein a cast is evicted once he is no longer qualified to be called “Bulilit”.

And as usual, GMA 7 already tried to do its own version, but “un”fortunately was not that successful in its attempt to copy the show.

The show is not even relying on Guest stars to boost their ratings. But still, the most successful children’s comedy in the Philippine history!!

Yeah! “; the sight of Harry Dunne (Jeff Daniels) and Lloyd in bright orange and powder blue tuxedos; also idiotic Lloyd’s wild chopsocky fantasy in a restaurant, defending the honor of his dream date and culminating in ripping the heart out of a chef’s chest; the excruciatingly-funny yet gross scene of Harry’s extreme agony on the toilet while suffering a reaction to a large dose of a laxative put in his drink by Lloyd; and the famous scene in which brain-dead Harry exclaims: “Ooh, look, frost” to Mary as they ride on a ski-lift chair - and his tongue becomes fused to the frozen metal frame pole - and the hilarious scene as they pry him free while his tongue stretches elastically

5. Forrest Gump (1994)

The computerized special-effects and imaging that put intellectually-challenged Forrest Gump (Tom Hanks) into comedic situations with historical events (i.e., Gov. Wallace’s stand-off in Little Rock, and his assassination attempt) and with Presidents and other celebrities (JFK - with his hilarious plea: “I gotta pee”, LBJ, Nixon, Elvis Presley, John Lennon)
